N7 Mazda MX5 Five Speed Gearbox (Used) (MX5-007)

Used donor gearbox.
Similar gear ratios to the ford Type 9 close ratio gear set which attracts a significant premium over the standard Type 9 gearbox.
Considerable weight saving over the Type 9 gearbox, weighing in at only 34kg.
Benefits from having a slightly overdriven 5th gear compared to a standard Type 9 gearbox.
Retroford are using this gearbox in many of their completion and road cars and can vouch for how robust this gearbox is.
They currently have one installed in their 255 bhp ST170 powered MK1 Cortina and their 10 second quarter mile MK2 Escort running over 300 bhp and 235 lb-ft of torque.

NOTE – This is supplied as a bare gearbox only, it does not include a gearstick, gearstick housing, release arm or slave cylinder.
